Blade Maintenance
Proper ice skate blade maintenance requires drying blades thoroughly with a towel after every use, storing them in soft fabric soakers (not plastic guards) to prevent rust, and using hard guards when walking off the ice. Regular sharpening every 10–30 hours of skating, or every 4–8 weeks, is crucial for performance and safety.
