This Norton Hard Arkansas stone is a single grit Benchstone.
Genuine, natural Arkansas stones are the only stones in the world that polish your cutting edges as they sharpen. Choose this hard stone (1200-grit) to create razor-sharp, highly polished edges; ideal for speed skate blades gravers, knives and other sharpening tools.
You can use either water or oil with Arkansas sharpening stones. Norton light mineral oil is preferred by most users. It does a better job of preventing the stones from clogging
