The Bont Red Magic 125mm Hardcore is the first 125mm professional racing wheel to use an aluminium hub. 125mm wheels are a lot larger than 110mm wheels so there is a lot more flex that needs to be controlled. Furthermore Bont Felt that the best way to control this flex is by upgrading the hub from plastic to aluminium. The new Bont Red Magic Hardcore has been an instant hit, winning the first race of the season in Berlin. The wheel has a full 24mm width unlike some competitors that have opted for 20-22mm wheels.

The Bont Red Magic Hardcore Wheel is the first 125mm professional racing wheel to use an aluminum hub. 125mm wheels are fast but with plastic hubs there’s also a lot of flex that steals away power and speed. Bont upgraded from plastic to aluminum hubs to better control that flex, and the Bont Red Magic 125mm Hardcore was an instant hit. It has a full 24mm width and features two layers of urethane, with the inner band being extremely high rebound while the outer band is harder and very fast! Poured by MPC Wheels.

NOTE: These wheels require 10.05mm spacers between the bearings – we recommend Bont’s Red self Centering Spacers. 10.35mm spacers will work but you may hear some noise when skating. A bearing press is a good idea for inserting and removing bearings from aluminum wheels.
